The LSA Swim Team is proud to offer a Stroke & Turn clinic for our Swim Team participants during the summer season. The goal of the clinic is to strengthen, enhance, and further develop the skills of competitive swimmers.
This summer, the program will be led by Owen Bossio (Advanced group) and Chris Valentine (Intermediate group), who bring strong experience and continuity from their work with the LSA Swim Team.
The Stroke & Turn program is structured into two levels — Advanced and Intermediate — each designed to meet the specific needs and abilities of our swimmers. Placement is based on ability level as well as age and will be determined by the coaches. Every effort will be made to place each swimmer in the most appropriate group to support their individual development and goals.
The clinic is a one-hour session held following swim team practice. The program focuses on developing and refining stroke technique, starts, turns, and finishes for all four competitive strokes. Swimmers will also be introduced to strength and dry land training, nutrition, and racing strategies.
Advanced participants may elect to participate in Session A, Session B, or both sessions.
Note: Each non-member participant must register for and pay the Limited Membership in addition to Stroke & Turn fees.
If your child is new to the program, coaches will contact you to arrange an evaluation of swimming ability. Coaches may also evaluate returning swimmers to ensure appropriate placement.
